Jennifer is a mother of three daughters and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with 15+ years of experience. She graduated cum laude from New York University, obtained her Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of Saint Joseph, maintains RDN status with The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, and is licensed by the state of Connecticut and New York.
Her foray into nutrition began with a desire to understand food as medicine and help those around her experiencing specific health issues. After multiple pregnancies, Jennifer faced her own unexpected health challenges.
Without warning, acute pain became a daily obstacle and medical interventions offered fleeting relief. Not accepting traditional medicine as the only solution, Jennifer turned to alternative treatment modalities. Meticulously, she began to modify elements of her nutrition and lifestyle.
Through persistence, patience and trust in the process, she overcame otherwise debilitating symptoms. As a result, Jennifer brings a renewed passion for wellness and the same commitment to her own clients as they seek to live their best lives.
She is certified in Adult Weight Management and utilizes modern, evidence-based research to efficiently address clients' individual weight concerns. Her specialized expertise comes from years of nutrition counseling and public speaking engagements within the Weight Reduction Surgery Program at Montefiore Medical Center in NYC, a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
In addition, she honed her skills serving as Nutrition Coordinator for a Manhattan-based private practice specializing in intensive outpatient treatment programs for sensitive weight-related issues.
Having worked in this capacity, Jennifer is uniquely attuned to common barriers and triggers that inhibit people from truly achieving their health goals. This keen insight along with a non-judgmental approach helps her clients finally get to the root-cause behind their weight struggles. Positive momentum naturally follows. Forming healthier and happier food relationships in the process is an added (though intentional) bonus!
